Taskforce police seizes illegal sand dumps in Karimnagar
Taskforce police in Karimnagar unearthed 80 tractor-loads of illegally stored sand during raids in Kothapalli mandal on Tuesday. The sand was found in Ramulapalli and Shanthinagar villages, with one dump traced to a compound near a local school.

Karimnagar: Taskforce police unearthed two illegal sand stocks in two villages of Kothapalli mandal on Tuesday. About 80 tractor-loads of sand were stored illegally in Ramulapalli and Shanthinagar.
Taskforce police, who are focusing more on illegal sand mining, transportation and storage, carried out checks in Kothapalli mandal and found sand dumps. While about 50 tractor-loads of sand were found in Ramulapalli, the remaining 30 tractor-loads were traced in Shanthingar.
The dump was located in the compound of Lambadi Ravi behind the Social Welfare Girls School and Junior College.
