Taskforce police unearthed illegal sand stocks

Taskforce police uncovered three illegal sand stocks in Vilasagar village of Jammikunta mandal in Karimnagar district. About 150 tractor-loads of sand and two tractors used for illegal transportation were seized during a special inspection targeting illegal sand-related activities

Karimnagar: Taskforce police unearthed three illegal sand stocks in Vilasagar of Jammikunta mandal on Monday. Sand with a capacity of about 150 tractor-loads was stored illegally. Taskforce police, who are focusing on illegal sand mining, transportation and storage, carried out checks in Vilasagar and found the sand stocks.

While sand with a capacity of 100 tractor-loads was found in a huge dump, sand with a capacity of 50 tractor-loads was found in two other dumps. Besides the sand, two tractors being used for the illegal transportation of sand were seized. Taskforce ACP Vasala Sathish and others participated in the checking.
