Hyderabad: Telangana Cricket Association (TCA) general secretary Dharam Guruva Reddy said the entire club structure of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) and its funds utilization was fraudulent and non-compliant with the guidelines of the Comptroller & Auditor General of India.
“The HCA has not bothered to take action against the earlier office-bearers and vendors who were involved in financial irregularities and were booked by State Police in four FIRs registered in October 2023,” Guruva Reddy said at a media conference in Khammam.
“The HCA General Body and Apex Council has ignored Justice L Nageswara Rao SMC’s recommendations to reform HCA cricket and has failed to take action against HCA members involved in crimes,” he said.
The TCA official displayed identical, copy-pasted audit reports of the HCA for the years 2022-23 and 2023-24.
He appealed to the district police departments to take action against erring officials of the HCA-affiliated units.
