Hyderabad: The Telangana Development Forum USA (TDF USA) donated Covid prevention equipment to the rural primary health centre in Pothugallu village in Mustabad mandal, Sircilla on Saturday.
Kavita Challa, president, TDF USA, appreciated Asha workers and ANM workers for their services in saving many Covid patients. She also thanked AAPI team from USA, Dr Bharath Neravetla and Sujit Punnam, for their help in providing oxygen units from the US to remote rural hospitals in Telangana.
Kavita also thanked the TDF USA Board and members including Vinai Thummalapally former Ambassdor-USA ,Girish Reddy, Jayanth Challa for sponsoring the Covid Relief Project in Phase 2. She also promised help in improving education and healthcare needs in backward mandals of Telangana.
TDF USA is a non-profit organization focusing on development activities but in this critical need of the hour was focusing more in helping fight Covid in Telangana especially in the rural and tribal areas, she added.
Telangana Development Forum USA have been helping frontline workers, Asha workers and ANMs and PHC staff and police by donating high quality Covid protection essential supplies like Oxygen Concentrators, N95 masks, face shields, gloves, hand sanitizers, Infrared thermometers (contactless), Oxygen pulse meters, PPE Kits, cloth masks, a press release added.
Meanwhile, TDF USA members also donated power cleaning equipment to Suryapet hospital. TDF Covid relief project coordinators Challa Preeti and Srinivas Manikonda, Matta Rajeshwer Reddy, General Secretary, TDF-India and his team have been actively involved in the initiative.
Murali Chintalpani TDF USA past president, Krishna Reddy TDF India VP, Arun Tula, TDF India Regional coordinator, Anupama Challa, TDF India co-ordinator, Raya Laxmi, Medical officer, and others were present.
