Sangareddy: Teachers of a primary school near Sangareddy Collectorate made students carry gravel dump from the school premises to a corner on Friday. The contractor, who took up the boundary wall works a month ago, had dumped a load of gravel on the premises.

The teachers asked the students to shift the gravel to one corner as the gravel was located close to the flag post. The school teachers said that they wanted to keep the premises clean ahead of Republic Day.

Over 40 students were seen taking the gravel in the plates, used for mid-day meals in the school every day. The students were seen carrying the gravel while two teachers and a woman attender were watching and guiding them.

Meanwhile, workers roped in by the contractor were still carrying out plastering work of the boundary wall. The incident took place just a stone’s throw away from the Sangareddy Collectorate.
