Jagtial: A software engineer working in Singapore committed suicide by jumping into the flood flow canal near Nukapalli of Malyala mandal on Thursday.
Mukunda Vinod Kumar (29), a native of Malyala mandal, was working as assistant project manager in a company in Singapore and came to his native place a month ago.
He left home at around 7 am on Thursday. When he did not return till afternoon and his mobile phone was switched off, family members informed Malyala police.
The cops, who searched with the help of Vinod’s mobile phone signals, found the two-wheeler and his slippers at the flood flow canal near Nukapalli. Police launched a search operation in the canal and found the body near the flood gates.
Vinod Kumar, who got married five years ago, did not have children. Work pressure and lack of children prompted Vinod to take the extreme step, police said.
