Teenage girl dies by suicide on railway tracks in Hyderabad
A teenage girl from Kachiguda died by suicide on railway tracks near Uppuguda railway station after reportedly being reprimanded by her father for spending excessive time on her mobile phone. Railway police registered a case and are investigating the incident.

Hyderabad: A teenage girl died by suicide on the railway tracks at Uppuguda reportedly after her father reprimanded her for spending excessive time on her mobile phone.
According to the railway police, the girl, who was pursuing intermediate, was a resident of Kachiguda and was reportedly spending considerable time on her mobile phone. Her father had reprimanded her several times over the habit.
Upset over the repeated scolding, the girl left her home on Wednesday evening. On Thursday morning, her body was found near the railway tracks at Uppuguda railway station. Preliminary information suggested that she had jumped in front of a moving goods train.
On receiving information, railway police personnel rushed to the spot and conducted an inspection. They identified the girl and informed her family members. The body was shifted to a government hospital for post-mortem examination.
A case has been registered and an investigation is under way to ascertain the circumstances leading to the girl’s death.
