Teenage girl jumps to death in Hyderabad’s Miyapur

Hansika, a Class X student, was staying with her family at Janapriya Apartments in Miyapur; she reportedly jumped from the fourth floor of the apartment building

Hyderabad: A teenaged girl died by suicide by jumping from a multi-storey building in Miyapur on Thursday.

The reason for the suicide was yet to be known, police said.


The girl K Hansika (14), who was a Class X student in a private school, was staying with her family at Janapriya Apartments in Miyapur.

Police said Hansika jumped from the fourth floor of the apartment building. She fell on the ground, suffered grievous injuries and died on the spot.

The security guard alerted her family members and apartment in-charge, who informed the police.

No suicide note or anything indicating why the girl could have resorted to the extreme step was known. Inquiries were on with her family members and friends.

The Miyapur police are investigating if any family issue or love affair led to her suicide.
