Teenager drowns in Hayathnagar Lake in Hyderabad
A 16-year-old boy drowned in Hayathnagar Lake on Hyderabad’s outskirts after entering the water with friends. Police said he did not know how to swim. The body was retrieved later and a case has been registered

Hyderabad: A teenager drowned in Hayathnagar Lake on the city outskirts on Friday evening.
According to the police, the boy, Bachigalla Abhilash (16), a resident of Hayathnagar, along with his friends, had gone for a swim in Hayathnagar Lake.
“Abhilash and his friends got into the water. The boy did not know how to swim and drowned,” said Hayathnagar Sub Inspector A Krishna. The body was later retrieved from the lake by expert swimmers.
A case has been registered.
