Telangana: 187 ASIs promoted as SIs in tri-commissionerate

IGP V Satyanarayana says promotions granted as Sankranti gift; officers, recruited as police constables in 1989-90, awaiting promotion for over 35 years

Hyderabad: Following directions from DGP Dr Jitender, a total of 187 Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) have been promoted to the rank of Sub-Inspectors (SIs) in Multi-Zone-11.

IGP V Satyanarayana said the promotions were granted as a Sankranti gift, adhering to the guidelines of the Telangana government.
These officers, who were initially recruited as police constables in 1989 and 1990, were awaiting promotion for over 35 years.

Of the 187 promoted officers, 22 are from Rachakonda Police, 20 from Hyderabad Police and 76 from Cyberabad Police.
