Telangana: 3 held for theft in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Mahankali police solved the theft case reported at Deep Engineering Company at Kandjarguda in Old Bhoiguda and arrested a three-member gang on Tuesday.
Cash of Rs 28.6 lakh and four mobile phones were recovered.
The arrested persons are Muralidar Mohanlal Sharma, a cloth trader from Maharashtra, Chandrabhan Patel, a cloth trader from Uttar Pradesh and Udayraj Singh, a watchman from Uttar Pradesh.
According to the police, the trio confessed that they previously engaged in the textile business in the Secunderabad area. During the lockdown, they suffered financial losses and went bankrupt. With knowledge of local businesses and the large cash transactions in the area, they chose this location to carry out the crime.
On February 1 early hours, they broke into the company and decamped with cash.
Based on a complaint, the police deployed special teams that worked on checking lodges, tower dumps of mobile networks, and meticulous verification of CCTV footage.
The police could track down one of the offenders and on chasing him the other accused were tracked down at Sitara Lodge, Secunderabad wherein the offenders took shelter.
On being interrogated, the accused confessed to having committed this offence for easy money to clear their debts.
