Telangana: Abandoned newborn rescued in Nirmal

Nirmal: A new-born baby girl,abandoned by unidentified persons in the bushes, was rescued by a woman at Palsi village in Kubheer mandal on Sunday.
Locals said the newborn was dumped by some unidentified persons in the bushes on the outskirts of the village. Jaya, a local woman who was on her way to attend nature’s call, heard the cries of the baby and alerted officials of Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS. She then took the baby to her residence and cleaned it.
The ICDS authorities shifted the newborn to a hospital in Bhainsa before admitting it to the state home Shishugriha in Adilabad. They suspect that someone, who delivered without entering into wedlock, may have abandoned the toddler to suppress their identity.
