Telangana ACB registers 17 trap cases, unearths assets worth Rs 17.73 crore in November

The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB ), Telangana in the month of November has registered a total of 17 trap cases (17) and one Disproportionate Assets (DA) case. The ACB on Monday said that that a total of 27 Government servants and three outsourcing employees from various departments, were trapped and sent to the judicial remand.

Hyderabad: The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB ), Telangana in the month of November has registered a total of 17 trap cases (17) and one Disproportionate Assets (DA) case. The ACB on Monday said that that a total of 27 Government servants and three outsourcing employees from various departments, were trapped and sent to the judicial remand.

In the 17 trap cases, the ACB seized Rs.3,54,000 and unearthed Rs.17,73,53,500 valuable properties in the Disproportionate Assents case.


Apart from this, in November, the ACB also got three convictions related to trap cases including two-year rigorous imprisonment with a fine of Rs 2, 000 for P. Ashoke, Assistant Engineer, Nizamabad Municipal Corporation.

One-year rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 2, 000 for J. Venkateswara Rao, Junior Assistant, GHMC, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad and T. Pochaiah, Deputy CTO, Mancherial Circle of erstwhile Adilabad district, with three-years of rigorous imprisonment and fine of Rs 3, 000.
