Hyderabad: Telangana on Tuesday achieved an important milestone in containing the Covid pandemic by administering the first dose of Covid vaccines to 100 per cent of eligible beneficiaries.

The health department on Tuesday completed administering the first dose of Covid vaccine to all the 2,77,67,000 eligible beneficiaries in Telangana. On Monday, the department had covered 2,76,79,961 individuals with 87,039 individuals yet to get the first dose, which was achieved on Tuesday.

There are still nearly 27 lakh individuals who are yet to get the second dose of Covid vaccine in Telangana and authorities are targeting to cover them in the coming weeks.
