Sangareddy: The stage is set for the annual Brahmotsavams of the Sri Adi Narayana Swamy temple, known as Telangana Kanchi, located at Kodakanchi village in Jinnaram mandal.

The 10-day annual festivities will start on February 1. Since the temple is just 30 km away from Hyderabad, it would attract a huge number of pilgrims during the Brahmotsavams. The historical temple was built about 1,000 years ago. It regained its past glory after the temple was renovated a few years ago.

The ‘kalyanam’ of the presiding deity will be performed on February 4 with his consorts Budhevi and Sridevi. The day is expected to attract highest number of devotees.

Meanwhile, temple trust chairman Allani Raj Kumar said they had made all the arrangements to ensure the devotees had a smooth darshan during the celebrations. He further said the TGSRTC would operate special buses from Patancheru bus station to Kodakanchi to help the devotees reach the temple without any issues. The chairman said they would make safe drinking water available besides setting up a health camp.

The devotees believe touching the golden and silver lizards installed in the temple would free them from all troubles.
