Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau registers 19 cases in January; 17 public servants arrested
An amount of Rs 1.45 lakh seized in trap cases of various government departments, say officials

Hyderabad: The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau registered 19 cases in January, which include 10 trap cases, three cases of criminal misconduct, three regular enquiries and three discreet enquiries.
A total of 17 public servants, including three outsourced/private persons, were trapped and arrested by the ACB and remanded.
An amount of Rs 1.45 lakh was seized in trap cases of various departments such as Education, Revenue, Home, Finance, Animal Husbandry, MA&UD, and Health Medical and Family Welfare, the ACB officials said.
In a disproportionate assets case of the Tribal Welfare Department, assets worth Rs 65.50 lakh were unearthed, officials added.
