ACB nabs Revenue Department official while accepting bribe
The official allegedly demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 5,000 from a man for processing a Kalyana Laxmi application

Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau officials on Friday caught a revenue department official when he allegedly demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 5,000 from a man for processing Kalyana Laxmi application.
The official Additional Revenue Inspector, working at Tahsildar Dindi mandal, Nalgonda office had demanded bribe of Rs 10,000 from a man for forwarding Kalyana Lakshmi application to higher officials, said ACB officials.
On a complaint, the ACB registered a case and laid a trap for him. He was caught red-handed when he accepted the bribe of Rs. 5,000, said the officials.
The official is arrested and produced before the court.
Previously, the Anti-Corruption Bureau officials on Wednesday arrested the Metpalli sub-registrar, an attender and a document writer for demanding a bribe from a land owner. The official allegedly demanded Rs 10,000 as bribe and accepted to take Rs 5,000.
