Telangana Archery Association to hold Khelo India selection trials on Sept 13

Telangana Archery Association will conduct under-18 selection trials on September 13 at Telangana Sports School, Hakimpet, to pick archers for the Khelo India Youth Games. Trials will cover recurve and compound events for boys and girls, followed by a training camp

Hyderabad: The Telangana Archery Association will conduct selection trials on September 13 from 8.30 am at the Telangana Sports School, Hakimpet, here to select the under-18 State team for the upcoming Khelo India Youth Games in Telangana later this year.

The selections will be held in the recurve and compound categories for both boys and girls.

Under the selection criteria, two boys and two girls will be shortlisted in each category. In recurve, the trials will be held over 70m, while the compound trials will be conducted over 50m. The shortlisted archers will undergo a training camp under the Sports Authority of Telangana, following which the final State team will be selected based on multiple-time scoring.

Players born on or after November 1, 2008, are eligible to participate. Entries must be submitted on the respective district association’s letterhead. Players should also report with Aadhaar cards updated up to December 31, 2026.
