Hyderabad: Continuing their demand for a discussion on formula e-race issue, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) members raised slogans and held placards and with Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar not considering the appeal, they walked out of the House.

The session commenced in the afternoon on Friday after being adjourned earlier in the day for discussion on the Telangana Bhu Bharati Bill.

BJP floor leader A Maheswar Reddy demanded that CBI investigation should be conducted on the irregularities committed using Dharari portal in the past.

In reply, Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said the demand made by BJP would be examined after discussing it in the cabinet.

As AIMIM Floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi was about to commence his speech, the BRS members continued their sloganeering.

Irked over the disruption, the MIM MLA appealed to the Speaker to bring the House in order. Either the BRS members should be asked to occupy their seats or suspended from the House, he demanded.

Stating that Dharani portal was introduced for the benefit of one family, Akbaruddin Owaisi sought to know from the government if the Committee constitued under the chairmanship of Kodanda Reddy to study the Dharani issues had submitted its report. If it was submitted, the recommendations suggested by the Committee should be shared in the House as well, he said.

Akbaruddin Owaisi also said the land records survey done in the Nizam era was outdated. There was a need to conduct a detailed land survey in the State, he demanded.

Pointing to the papers strewn near the Speaker’s podium, the AIMIM MLA said this reflected the BRS party’s culture.
