Kumram Bheem Asifabad: A 21-year-old autorickshaw driver drowned in a stream at Shankarloddi village in Kerameri mandal on Sunday.
Police said the autorickshaw driver Pawar Shankar from Gangapur village in Narnoor mandal met a watery grave when his legs got stuck between rocks in the stream when he dived into the water, before taking darshan of Lord Shiva in a temple at Shankarloddi.
Shankar was accompanied by a friend Brahmam, who alerted his parents and the police, who in turn rushed to the spot and retrieved the body with the help of local expert divers.
Shankar’s father Uttam lodged a complaint with police. A case was registered and investigations were taken up.
