Karimnagar: Condemning the police lathi-charge on Group-I aspirants, union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar said there could be a threat for the survival of the Congress government.

Some Congress leaders, who were eyeing the Chief Minister post, were wishing the Group-I agitation to be intensified further and for the State government to fall, he said.

Addressing a press conference, he said he would meet the Group-I aspirants as an ordinary party worker and extend his support to them.

Asking the State government to withdraw GO 29 and reschedule Group-I exams, he said the GO 29 had become a curse for unemployed youth.

Talking about Musi development, the union minister said the BJP was against the looting of money and demolition of 11000 houses in the name of Musi development.

He demanded the government to provide houses to all victims besides providing employment and other facilities.
