Hyderabad: Telangana defeated Chhattisgarh 2-1 in the league phase of the Santosh Trophy National Football Championship at Ramakrishna Mission Ashram Ground in Nairanpur (Chhattisgarh) on Monday.

Syed Imtiyaz Ahmed put Telangana ahead in the 47th minute, and in the 59th minute Imran Ali netted the second goal.
