Telangana BIE announces new academic calendar
Junior colleges to reopen on June 2; Dasara vacation from September 28 to October 5
Hyderabad: The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education on Thursday released the academic calendar for the academic year 2025-26, scheduling the junior colleges reopening for June 2.
As per the academic calendar, students will have Dasara vacation from September 28 to October 5 with colleges reopening on October 6. Half-yearly examinations will be conducted from November 10 to 15 and Sankranti holidays are from January 11 to 18, 2026. The pre-final exams will be conducted from January 19 to 24.
The practical exams are scheduled in the first week of February and intermediate public exams in the first week of March. The last working day for the academic year 2025-26 is March 31 and summer vacation will be from April 1 to May 31.
The TG BIE said there will be 226 probable number of working days during the academic year 2025-26.
