Hyderabad: The Telangana BJP unit’s exercise to appoint party district presidents in the State triggered dissent in the party. After differences flared up in Nalgonda unit, now Goshamahal MLA T Raja Singh has taken strong objection over the party’s decision to appoint Golconda – Goshamahal district president.
“If the party considers that my services are no longer required, I am prepared to quit,” Raja Singh said in an audio statement that is going viral on social media platforms.
Raja Singh had recommended the names of leaders from SC and BC communities for the BJP Golconda-Goshamahal district president post. However, the party leadership appointed another leader and this has not gone well with the Goshamahal MLA.
“How can the party appoint a person, who is closely associated with MIM” Raja Singh asked. The Goshamahal MLA even said that along with fighting with political rivals, he was fighting an internal battle within the party.
“A few leaders in the party are good at brokering and I cannot stoop down to such a level for any gains,” Raja Singh said in the audio statement.
