Sangareddy: A BRS worker from Sangareddy embarked on a 140-km padayatra to meet former Chief Minister and BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao at his residence.
The former sarpanch of Medapally in Jharasangam mandal, Parameshwar Patil, launched the padayatra from Jharasangam on Monday. Patil performed special pujas in the name of Chandrashekhar Rao and former Minister T Harish Rao at Sri Kekthaki Sangameshwara Swamy Temple before embarking on his journey.
Zaheerabad MLA K Manik Rao, DCMS chairman Malkapuram Shiva Kumar and other leaders flagged off the Padayatra.
Speaking on the occasion, Patil said he wanted to see Chandrashekhar Rao as Chief Minister again. He said only the return of Chandrashekhar Rao to power would bring development back to Telangana. Patil and his team are expected to reach Eravally within five days.
