HYDERABAD: The State BJP unit has slammed the Congress Budget and citing the allocations made to different sectors, said it was ‘deceitful’.
With mere Rs 36,000 crore for capital expenditure, how would the Congress government execute different development projects in the State, BJP Floor Leader Aleti Maheshwar Reddy asked on Wednesday.
BJP spokesperson NV Subash said the Budget was unrealistic and called it a mere jugglery of figures to mislead the people. Citing Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s recent appeal to government employees to sacrifice their Dearness Allowance (DA), Subash said the situation reflected the State’s financial crisis.
He also sought to know as to how the government plans to generate necessary resources to cover the deficit. “The government is already struggling to pay salaries to its employees and pensioners on time, pushing them into financial distress,” Subash said.
