Telangana budget to be presented on March 19; Session to continue till March 27
Following this, the business advisory committee, chaired by Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar, decided to extend the session until March 27. During the meeting, it was also agreed that the State budget would be presented on March 19.

Hyderabad: The budget session of the State Legislative Assembly will continue until March 27. The session commenced on Wednesday, with Governor Jishnu Dev Varma addressing both houses. Following the Governor’s speech, the Assembly was adjourned till Thursday.
Subsequently, the business advisory committee, which met with Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar in the chair, decided to continue the session till March 27. During the meeting, it was resolved to present the State budget on March 19.
A discussion on the motion of thanks for the Governor’s speech will take place on March 13. The Assembly will be on holiday on March 14 due to the Holi festival. On March 15, the discussion on the motion of thanks for the Governor’s speech will continue, and members’ questions will be answered. The Assembly will be on holiday on March 16.
On March 17 and 18, government business will be conducted, and bills on BC reservations and SC categorisation are likely to be introduced. On March 19, the Finance Minister will present the budget in the Assembly. The Assembly will be on holiday on March 20, and a general discussion on the budget will take place on March 21. Discussions on grants will be held on March 22, 24, 25 and 26 and the discussion on the Appropriation Bill will take place on March 27.
Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, Legislative Affairs Minister D Sridhar Babu, BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, former ministers T Harish Rao and Vemula Prashanth Reddy from the BRS, A Maheshwar Reddy from BJP, Government Whip Beerla Ailayya, and CPI MLA Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao participated in the meeting.
