Hyderabad: Aspirants hoping for Cabinet berths and posts will have to wait a little longer as there was no clear announcement from the Congress high command on Monday.
AICC chief Mallikarjun Kharge, general secretary KC Venugopal and Rahul Gandhi attended the meeting at Indira Bhavan.
The party high command sought all details regarding Cabinet expansion, corporation appointments, PCC posts and others, including welfare and development programmes being implemented in the State, Goud said.
Briefing about the meeting, the TPCC president said all aspects would be announced very soon. “The high command will take a decision shortly,” he added.
Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi enquired about the health and education sectors. He also checked about the establishment of integrated schools and benefits to be extended to SC, ST, BC and minorities through the schools, he said.
There are six vacancies in the Cabinet and there are many aspirants, who are seeking berths. Names of Former Minister Sudarshan Reddy, Premsagar Rao, Vakiti Srihari, Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy, Malreddy Rangareddy and Balu Naik are among the probabales.
There is buzz in Gandhi Bhavan that the Cabinet expansion could happen after Ugadi.
