Telangana CEO releases draft electoral roll after SIR enumeration
The Telangana CEO has released the draft electoral roll following the SIR enumeration process, with 73.39 lakh electors removed under the ASDD category. Over 92.87 lakh electors were also flagged for discrepancies and will receive notices.

Hyderabad: After nearly 50-day enumeration forms distribution and collection process that concluded on August 10, the Telangana Chief Electoral Office (CEO) released the draft electoral roll as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral roll in the State.
As many as 2,64,87,213 out of 3,38,26,448 electors submitted their forms. Of the total electors, a staggering 73,39,235 are identified under the Absent, Shifted, Death and Duplication (ASDD) category.
Of these, 9,22,229 electors are categorised as dead, 11,25,546 absent or untraceable, 45,18,963 permanently shifted, 6,70,203 already enrolled and 1,02,294 are categorised under other categories.
The electors identified under the ASDD have been removed from the draft roll. However, genuine electors still have a chance to enrol back in the ongoing claims and objection phase, which concludes on September 16. Such individuals have to fill and submit the Form-6 along with the prescribed declaration form.
Among those who submitted the forms, the Telangana CEO identified anomalies in the forms submitted by 92,87,577 electors. While 60,50,918 voters have anomalies such as name and age mismatch in their forms, 32,36,659 electors have not furnished their SIR 2002 list details.
Now, the Telangana CEO has commenced issuing notices to 92,87,577 electors who have any one of these nine identified logical discrepancies/anomalies.
– Less than nine months gaps between progeny
– Less than 15 years age gap between parent and progeny
– Greater than 50 years age gap between progeny and parent
– Less than 40 years age gap between elector and grandparent
– Different parent name between eroll and last SIR
– Mapped with different relative type between current eroll and last roll (father/mother)
– Mapped with father in the current roll and husband in the last SIR
– Different father in current eroll and last SIR in case of self
– Incorrect age difference between current and last SIR for self
Electors who will receive the notice from the Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and Assistant EROs via the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and/or registered post at their house addresses on or before September 16. Replies, along with necessary documents, can be submitted to the BLOs, AEROs or EROs.
If not satisfied with details, an ERO/AERO might call an elector for hearing for submitting additional information. The notice and disposal of claims and objections phase will conclude on October 15, and the final electoral roll will be published on October 19.
