Telangana CEO to verify certificates for graduate voter enrolment

The Telangana Chief Electoral Office will use special software to verify educational certificates submitted for enrolment in two Graduates’ Constituencies ahead of the 2027 elections. Existing electors must also submit fresh Form-18 applications as rolls are prepared afresh.

Hyderabad: Are you enrolling as an elector for forthcoming Graduates’ Constituency elections scheduled for March 2027? Then ensure that educational qualification certificates are genuine.

The Telangana Chief Electoral Office (TG CEO), which has commenced enrolment of graduates, has decided to use special software to verify the genuineness of educational certificates, leaving no scope for submitting fake documents. As the elections to Mahabubnagar-Rangareddy-Hyderabad Graduates’ Constituency and Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda Graduates’ Constituency are due in March 2027, the Telangana CEO, as per Election Commission of India directions, commenced the electors’ enrolment, with November 1, 2026, as the qualifying date.

As many as 94,059 electors submitted their applications for Mahabubnagar-Rangareddy-Hyderabad Graduates’ Constituency until the last count on Wednesday. Similarly, 1,26,955 forms have been received for Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda Graduates’ Constituency.

Applications can be filed online through CEO website https://ceotelangana.nic.in, or Form-18, along with required documents and certificates, can be submitted to the EROs, AEROs, designated officers or additional designated officers in person. Applications can also be sent by post to the ERO, AERO or designated officer. The deadline for receipt of applications in Form 18 is November 6.

According to officials, as the electoral rolls for the Graduates’ Constituency are required to be prepared afresh, all persons whose names are included in the existing rolls should also submit a fresh application in the modified Form-18.

Every application must be accompanied by authenticated copies of requisite documents/certificates. Mere reference to an entry in the existing electoral roll will not be taken into account for determining the eligibility of a person for enrolment in the electoral rolls, sources said.

Draft electoral rolls will be published on November 25. Claims and objections can be filed between November 25 and December 10, and they will be disposed of by December 25. The final electoral roll publication is scheduled for December 30.
