Telangana Chief Postmaster General urges faster mutation of postal lands

Hyderabad: The Chief Postmaster General (PMG) of Telangana Circle, PVS Reddy, has urged the State government to expedite the mutation of postal lands.
On Friday, Reddy met Telangana Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao and briefed him on two recently launched initiatives — ‘Know Your PIN Code’ and ‘Know Your DigiPIN’.
He requested that DIGIPIN be integrated into the workflows of key State government departments to improve service delivery.
He also informed the Chief Secretary that 1,014 Gram Panchayats currently have post offices co-located in their buildings.
He requested that District Collectors be directed to facilitate the co-location of the remaining 4,429 post offices within Gram Panchayat buildings to enhance rural postal access and infrastructure.
