Telangana Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao’s tenure extended by three months

The Centre has extended the tenure of Telangana Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao by three months till June 30, 2026. The State government had sought the extension earlier as his term was scheduled to end on March 31

Hyderabad: The Department of Personnel and Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, has extended the service of Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao by three months till June 30, 2026.

The Chief Secretary is already serving under an extension, and his tenure was scheduled to end on March 31. However, in February, the State government had written to the Centre seeking a further extension of his service.


Accordingly, his service has been extended for three months from April 1 to June 30, 2026. Orders to this effect were issued on Wednesday.
