Telangana CID arrests former BSNL employee for duping people of Rs 20 crores
B Anantha Rao collected the amount from cooperative credit society members but did not deposit it in the bank and misappropriated it

Hyderabad: The Telangana Crime Investigation Department arrested a former BSNL employee for allegedly duping people to the tune of Rs 20 crores.
According to the police, the suspect B Anantha Rao, (63), who previously worked as Superintendent in BSNL and a resident of Nalgonda along with others were members of BSNL employees cooperative credit society limited, Nalgonda.
The society collected the amount from the members but did not deposit it in the bank and misappropriated it. They issue fake bonds to the depositors.
A case was registered in 2022 and since Anantha Rao was absconding. A team of CID arrested him on Wednesday.
