Hyderabad: In the wake of Operation Sindoor, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy convened an emergency high-level meeting at the Integrated Command Control Centre (ICCC), directing officials to initiate comprehensive security and emergency measures across Telangana.

The meeting was attended by the Chief Minister’s Advisor Vem Narender Reddy, DGP Jitender, Home Secretary Ravi Gupta, and top brass from the Army, police, disaster management and other key departments.

Revanth Reddy called for complete unity and national solidarity, asking all citizens to set aside their political alliance and stand with the Indian armed forces. He ordered the cancellation of all foreign trips of Ministers and top officials, and revoked leave for emergency service staff.

In a series of key directives, the Chief Minister asked the police for detention of illegal immigrants from Pakistan and Bangladesh, residing in Telangana. He wanted them to link CCTV surveillance from all three city commissionerates to the ICCC. The officials were instructed to increase near foreign embassies, IT firms, district centres and sensitive areas.

He directed the police to monitor history-sheeters and criminal elements, and initiate stringent measures to ensure law and order. He reviewed the readiness of blood banks, emergency medicines, hospital beds, and food stocks. Besides coordinating with the Red Cross, he wanted the officials to strengthen cyber security framework.

A crackdown on misinformation was also emphasized.

“A special cell must curb fake news. Government employees making unauthorised posts on social media will face action,” he warned. To express solidarity with the armed forces, the Chief Minister along with Ministers and other officials will participate in a rally from the State Secretariat to Necklace Road at 6 pm on Thursday.
