Telangana CM urges people to stay indoors amid heatwave
The Telangana government, led by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, has urged citizens to stay indoors during peak noon hours following an IMD heatwave warning.

Hyderabad: Following the IMD (India Meteorological Department) warning of severe heatwave conditions in Telangana, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy appealed to people not to venture out of their homes and avoid travelling during noon hours. He directed the officials concerned to take all necessary precautionary measures and remain alert.
Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao will monitor the situation in the affected districts and issue necessary guidelines to the District Collectors for the safety of people during summer. The authorities were ordered to ensure the availability of adequate ORS packets, supply of drinking water and uninterrupted power.
The Chief Minister directed the Medical and Health department to make arrangements and provide better medical treatment to the patients suffering from sunstroke and admitted to the hospitals. Local authorities were instructed to set up Chali Vendralu (free drinking water centres).
