Telangana: Cold spell hits Asifabad, Adilabad for second day

The Sirpur (U) mandal center in Kumram Bheem Asifabad district recorded a minimum temperature of 9.9°C, while Tiryani mandal headquarters saw a minimum of 11°C. Other mandals including Kerameri, Wankidi, Rebbena, Asifabad, Chintalamanepalli, Kaghaznagar, Bejjur, Lingapur, and Dahegaon experienced minimum temperatures ranging from 12°C to 14°C.

Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Parts of Kumram Bheem Asifabad and Adilabad districts continued to reel under dipping temperatures for the second day on Friday.

Sirpur (U) mandal centre of Kumram Bheem Asifabad district registered a minimum temperature of 9.9 degrees Celsius, while Tiryani mandal headquarters saw the minimum temperature of 11 degrees C. Kerameri, Wankidi, Rebbena, Asifabad, Chintalamanepalli, Kaghaznagar, Bejjur, Lingapur and Dahegaon mandals witnessed minimum temperatures anywhere between 12 degrees C and 14 degrees C.

Meanwhile, Neradigonda mandal in Adilabad district recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 11.5 degrees C, followed by Bazarhathnoor mandal which had minimum temperature of 11.8 degrees C. Mavala, Adilabad Rural, Boath, Tamsi, Jainad, Utnoor, Ichoda, Sirikonda, Talamadugu and Bheempur mandals experienced somewhere between 12 degrees C and 14 degrees C.

Following chilly weather conditions, people from all walks of life, in particular elderly and children had to keep their bodies warm using woollen sweaters and making bonfires with the help of timber logs.
