Telangana: Congress, BRS activists argue over violation of MCC in Karimnagar
BRS leader Ravinder Singh questions police for allowing more vehicles than permitted inside the Collectorate by violating the model code of conduct

Karimnagar: Mild tension prevailed at the Collectorate here when both Congress and BRS activists entered into an argument over the violation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) by Congress Ministers during the nomination submission of Congress MLC graduates constituency candidate V Narender Reddy.
Besides, TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud, a few Ministers also participated in the programme. However, trouble began when more than three vehicles of the Ministers were allowed inside the Collectorate premises.
BRS leader and former Mayor S Ravinder Singh, who also filed a nomination as an independent candidate, questioned the police for allowing more vehicles than permitted inside the Collectorate by violating the model code of conduct.
While he was returning, Congress activists laughed at him and made comments. Enraged over this, BRS activists also made comments. Both the groups raised slogans against each other. Police intervened and brought the situation under control.
Ravinder Singh alleged that police were supporting the ruling party leaders. Only four persons were to be allowed along with the candidate to file the nomination, however, several more went in along with the candidate, he said.
