Hyderabad: The State government has constituted a Sub-Committee with Irrigation and Command Area Development Engineer-in-Chief C Muralidhar as Chairman to study the draft rules and operation protocol prepared by the Central Water Commission (CWC) with respect to Priyadarshini Jurala Project, Srisailam Dam and Nagarjunasagar Dam.
The committee will advise on the follow up action and furnish its views and recommendations considering the water requirements, priorities, needs, interests and concerns in line with the pleadings of Telangana before the Krishna Water Disputes Tribunal-II (KWDT-II), according to Special Chief Secretary Rajat Kumar.
The committee would submit its report to the government before October 30. The committee will take necessary action accordingly.
