Telangana: Convict who jumped parole, nabbed in auto theft case in Adilabad
According to local DSP L Jeevan Reddy, Syed Saleem, a convict, had violated his parole conditions. Sentenced to a 10-year term by a Nizamabad court in 2019, he was released on a 30-day parole on October 22, 2022. However, instead of returning to jail the following month, he failed to do so.
DSP Jeevan Reddy briefs details of the arrest to pressmen in Adilabad on Thursday night.

A convict who jumped the parole conditions, landed himself behind the bars again, when he stole an autorickshaw here on Thursday night, police said.
According to local DSP L Jeevan Reddy, Syed Saleem, a convict in the rape of a minor girl, was already on the parole and had jumped the parole conditions. He was convicted to serve a ten year term by a court in Nizamabad in 2019. But he had come out on a 30-day parole on October22, 2022. He was to return to jail next month, but he did not.
Saleem, is a resident of Chota Talab locality and had now stolen the auto which was parke in front of the house of its owner on September 18.
A case was already booked against him for jumping the parole condition.
Meanwhile, Superintendent of Police Gaush Alam commended DSP Jeevan Reddy, Inspector Karunakar and Sub-Inspector Vishnuprakash for nabbing the convict.
