Telangana: Criminal cases against millers for diversion of CMR stocks

Criminal cases were registered against 11 persons including some millers during the last four days in the State. Some of them were arrested for diversion of paddy stocks allotted to them for custom milling as part of the enforcement surveillance operations stepped up in certain districts

Hyderabad: Criminal cases were registered against 11 persons including some millers during the last four days in the State. Some of them were arrested for diversion of paddy stocks allotted to them for custom milling as part of the enforcement surveillance operations stepped up in certain districts.

The millers’ associations have assured the Civil Supplies Commissioner, D S Chouhan of their cooperation in addressing such instances. They made it clear that there would be no scope for diversion of CMR stocks held by the millers.


The Commissioner, who interacted with them, emphasized that the Civil Supplies Corporation was committed to transparency and strict enforcement to ensure fair practices in rice procurement and milling.
