Telangana DGP CV Anand sets up tech team to boost AI in policing
Telangana DGP CV Anand has formed a dedicated tech team to accelerate AI adoption in policing. The initiative aims to integrate major platforms like CCTNS and Hawkeye under a unified system, improving crime investigation, traffic management and operational efficiency across the State.
Hyderabad: DGP CV Anand has constituted a dedicated Tech Team in the DGP’s Office to accelerate the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in policing across the State.
During a review meeting on Saturday, the DGP directed officers to integrate major police platforms, including CCTNS, HRMS, and Hawkeye, under a unified framework and develop AI-driven systems to improve crime investigation, law and order management, and policing efficiency.
A five-member core team was also formed to oversee key AI initiatives, including CCTNS 2.0, data intelligence, drone technology, video analytics and traffic safety modules, with a target to complete major projects within six months.
