Hyderabad: Dharani, the one-stop portal for registration of agriculture lands, has generated revenue of over Rs 1,086 crore to the State exchequer in 10 months after its launch on October 29 last year.
The revenue generation, as on September 6, was through 10,18,513 payments who successfully carried out various transactions pertaining to agricultural land by booking slots on the portal.
The portal received 4.65 crore hits in ten months and as many as 8,99,314 slots were booked. According to officials, the Pattadar Passbooks (PPBs) were seeded with Aadhaar and biometric authentication of the PPB owners after correcting agricultural land records, revenue officials told Telangana Today.
A presentation on the functioning of Dharani portal and other IT initiatives was made to the Parliamentary Commmittee on IT that visited the State recently.
Presently, 28 transactions and 10 information modules are offered on the portal, which facilitates people to carry out their transactions in a hassle-free manner after booking a slot. The portal has been able to resolve majority of the problems faced by farmers with respect to their agriculture lands.
The portal resolved 90 per cent of issues pertaining to agriculture lands and officials are making efforts to resolve the remaining issues. Plans have also been chalked out to add some more features to the portal for the convenience of people.
One of the major advantages of the portal is that an ePPB is delivered to the buyer instantly after completing the transaction at the concerned Tahsidhar’s office, officials said, adding that a green passbook is sent later to the buyer’s residential address by post.
