Telangana Diagnostic centre in Jangaon to get new machines: Errabelli
Minister said that the State govt embarked on a mission to develop the medical and health sector in the State to provide treatment at these hospitals on par with the corporate hospitals
Jangaon: Stating that the Telangana government under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was committed to providing free quality treatment to the poor, Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Errabelli Dayakar Rao said the T-Diagnostic Centre inaugurated here on Monday would be equipped with X-Ray, ECG, 2D Echo, ultrasound scanning and digital X-Ray machines soon.
Speaking after inaugurating the diagnostic centre at the government area hospital here, he said that the State government embarked on a mission to develop the medical and health sector in the State to provide treatment at these hospitals on par with the corporate hospitals.
“As a part of this mission, the government has established as many as 19 T-Diagnostic Centres in 19 districts. We developed the centre at a cost of Rs 40 lakhs and appointed the required technicians. We purchased equipment worth Rs one crore and will be spending Rs 15 lakh per month as recurring expenditure at the centre,” he said, adding that a total of 57 tests including COVID test are carried out at this centre.
Later, the Minister inspected the construction work of the integrated district offices (collectorate) in the town. The complex is being constructed at a cost of Rs 57 crore. “We are trying to make the services available at this complex by the end of this month,” Rao added.
MLAs M Yadagiri Reddy, T Rajaiah, District Collector K Nikhila, District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO) Dr A Mahender, DFO Arpana Syal, ACP Vinod Kumar, DRDO G Ram Reddy and local public representatives attended the programme.
