Hyderabad: Digital classes for intermediate first-year students are likely to commence from August 9.
The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TS BIE) and Commissionerate of Intermediate Education are making elaborate plans for the broadcast of digital content through Doordarshan and T-SAT network channels.
The BIE has recently extended the last date for admissions into first year intermediate programmes for the academic year 2021-22 up to August 17. So far, 97,949 students including 80,092 in general and 17,857 in vocational courses have enrolled in 404 government junior colleges across the State.
As the admissions were still underway, the digital classes have not commenced.
“Seventy per cent of content that has to be telecast has already been prepared. Some content has been improvised. To ensure that late joiners do not miss out on digital classes, the classes were not started earlier and now they are being planned from August 9,” authorities said.
The TS BIE has already started digital classes for second-year intermediate students from July 1.
