Telangana drugs regulator issues urgent recall of specific batch of Paracet 500 tablets

The Telangana Drugs Control Administration has ordered the immediate recall of Paracet 500 tablets from a specific batch manufactured in Himachal Pradesh and marketed in Telangana.

Hyderabad: The Telangana Drugs Control Administration (TGDCA) and TG SAFE (Drugs Administration Wing) on Wednesday issued an urgent drug recall alert for Paracet 500 tablets and directed the withdrawal of a specific batch of medication from market sale. 

The TGDCA advisory warns the public not to use Paracet 500 Tablets (Paracetamol IP 500 mg) bearing the batch number APRCT-2501.

​The affected batch was manufactured in May 2025 by Konis Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd., located at Jagriti Sadan, Subathu Road, Solan – 173212, Himachal Pradesh, and is marketed by M/s. Apple Health Care, Nagole. The product carries an expiry date of April 2027, the advisory said. 

​Consumers are strongly advised to check the batch number on their medicine packs immediately. Anyone who possesses this specific batch is urged to refrain from using it and to consult their pharmacist, doctor, or healthcare professional for proper guidance and advice, the advisory added.
