Dubai: The mortal remains of a Telangana expatriate, who was found dead at his residence in Sharjah, were sent back to India on Saturday.
Khaja Merajuddin (45), a native of Karimnagar and a lecturer at an educational institution in Dubai, died of a heart attack on June 16. His wife, Haseena Sultana, residing in Karimnagar, became concerned when he stopped responding to calls and alerted relatives in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). They discovered him dead in his flat and informed local police.
Haseena Sultana flew to the UAE to complete the necessary legal formalities and to bring her husband’s body back to India. She received support from the Dubai-based Telugu NRI organisation GMC.
The mortal remains of Merajuddin were flown to Hyderabad on Saturday, accompanied by Haseena.
