Telangana: Farmers can withdraw ‘Rythu Bandhu’ amount via Postal Micro ATMs
The Department of Posts extended similar facility during Yasangi season of 2020-21, where about 1.72 lakh farmers have withdrawn Rs 169 crore through the Postal Micro ATMs
Hyderabad: Farmers are now allowed to withdraw their Rythu Bandhu amount through Postal Micro ATMs operated by the Postal department at its 5,794 post offices in the State free of cost. The cash can be withdrawn from the bank accounts of the farmers in their villages, without requiring visiting the respective banks during the current Covid-19 pandemic.
The Department of Posts extended similar facility during Yasangi season of 2020-21, where about 1.72 lakh farmers have withdrawn Rs 169 crore through the Postal Micro ATMs. A maximum of Rs 10,000 can be withdrawn from the Micro ATMs in a day.
Farmers having Aadhar linked accounts of any bank, can avail the Micro ATM services in their local post office. They should visit nearest post office with his or her Aadhar card and registered mobile phone which are linked to any bank account in which the amount is deposited, and withdraw cash by impressing finger print. They are also required to share the OTP received on their registered mobile phone with the Post Master, for receiving the cash.
