Telangana: Fire breaks out in records room at Satavahana University in Karimnagar

Fire broke out in the records rooms of Satavahana University, question papers and other important records were burnt in flames

Karimnagar: Fire broke out in the records rooms of Satavahana University on Friday. Exact reason for the fire accident is not yet known.

Though the university authorities tried to shift records to other rooms, question papers and other important records were burnt in flames.

Knowing about the incident, fire service department officials rushed to the spot and calmed down flames by deploying two fire engines.

On Thursday, there was also a fire accident that took place in the forest area of the university and flames had spread near the commerce building, boys hostel and health center.

Fire staff led by district fire officer Srinivas Reddy visited the university and controlled flames by striving hard for four hours. Two firefighters from Karimnagar and Manakondur fire stations were deployed to calm down flames.
