Hyderabad: Impressed by the urban forest parks developed by Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) in the last two years, officials of the Telangana Forest Department on Tuesday visited the parks located in Bibinagar of Yadadri district.
The team of officials decided to plan the development of Haritha Vanams in the districts on the lines of the development taken up in urban reserve forest parks. The distance between two plants and utilisation of the space between them, water supply procedure and skills adopted by the workers in the urban forest parks are some of the best practices that will be replicated by the Forest Department while developing HarithaVanams.
Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, RR district, Sunitha M Bhagwat said the greenery development by HMDA should be a role model for everyone. B Prabhakar Director, Urban Forestry wing HMDA said the urban forest parks were developed due to the encouragement from the State government and the efforts of Metropolitan Commissioner, Arvind Kumar.
