Telangana: Forest office furniture seized for contempt of court in Jannaram

Tables, chairs and computers of Jannaram FDO’s office were seized for the contempt of a labour court in Godavarikhani town, which issued an order to reinstate an animal tracker Biyyala Linganna of Dostunagar of Nirmal district on June 18.

Mancherial: Furniture of the Forest Divisional Officer-Jannaram was seized following contempt of an order of a court in Godavarikhani on Friday.

Tables, chairs and computers of Jannaram FDO’s office were seized for the contempt of a labour court in Godavarikhani town, which issued an order to reinstate an animal tracker Biyyala Linganna of Dostunagar of Nirmal district on June 18.

The court also ordered the forest department to pay Rs 1 lakh towards his salary.

Linganna approached the court when he was sacked without offering salary in 2016. He had joined the department as a daily wage earner 30 years ago.

Jannaram in-charge FDO Shiv Aasheesh Singh said that they would challenge the order in the High Court.
